christmas eve... i don't have a clue, what goes on, where it goes on and how it goes on...

somebody please help me, what exactly is tonight all about? i'm not being ignorant, just really curious... you've probably guessed by now that i don't celebrate christmas.
born and bought up as a reciting muslim, i full heartedly celebrate eid... the full shebang!
i dress up at 9-am and don't get my slap off till 1-am.(by this time eye liner and mascara become one!)
sometimes i wear a traditional indian outfit or if that doesn't happen i take the easy way out and buy a cute dress from warehouse.
muslim? indian? warehouse? traditional? confusing eh? tell me about it... i live in it...
let me get this clear in the simplest form of english...
" i rukaiya issa, am a british born indian muslim"
na i don't like the sound of that... rephrase...
" i am a british, indian muslim..."
simplicity isn't doing any justice is it?... oh sack it.
i am a female, born in britain, as a muslim in a modern indian family. or is it traditional?
i don't know... you decide.
